Memorial & Vase Standards

Memorial & Vase Standards

Memorial and Vase Standards are as follows (please contact our office to purchase):

  • Ground burial/inurnment: the cemetery requires bronze grave markers with minimum 3″ granite base for ground burial or inurnment of cremains. Bronze flower vases integrated with marker are the only approved containers for flowers or other items.

  • Mausoleum entombment/inurnment: bronze crypt plates and vases with one floral arrangement. No cards, photos, or other items should be attached to the crypt fronts.

  • New columbarium niches (completion Spring 2022): this is a vasefree area with engraved niche doors. No silk/fresh flowers or décor permitted. Memorial bronze butterflies are available for purchase.

Our desire is for Westview Gardens to be a beautiful and safe place for families to visit and for our staff to work. The cemetery has rules and standards in place to ensure this can occur. Even when it is not “mowing and trimming season”, our crew is still using equipment in the cemetery to dig graves, install memorials, and do other requested maintenance. We want to preserve your important items as well as our equipment, so please follow the posted cemetery rules when placing flowers and items for memorialization.

Stay-in-the-Vase © floral arrangements are available for purchase in the cemetery office.

Removals:
Items not placed in approved cemetery vase, items staked in the ground (such as windmills, solar lights, shepherd hooks), and anything loose on grave or memorial will be removed.
